The original Jackhammer and Jackhammer XL combo gives you versatility for your blending needs.  The original Jackhammer is for everyday, constant use, while the Jackhammer XL is suited for extended reach blending where finishing is key.  Both hammers weigh virtually the same, so your Jackhammer XL will swing and strike very similar to the original Jackhammer.  Balance is paramount in a blending hammer for prolonged and efficient use, and these hammers are perfect in that respect.  The original Jackhammer is 12.5" long, while the XL comes in at 17.5", giving you 5" more of reach.
